Verdant Roots started in a converted unit on the edge of Bristol when founder Tom Whitaker became obsessed with a simple question: why does “fresh” salad travel hundreds of miles and arrive half-dead?
So he built something different — a climate-controlled vertical farm that grows living greens without soil, without pesticides and without the food miles. Every tray is sown, grown and snipped to order, then hand-delivered the same day. The result is produce so fresh it’s still growing when it reaches your plate.
